The all-new family members of the 6.4 Series cover the 130 to 150 HP power range and combine efficiency, compact dimensions, lightweight, agility and comfort with hallmark German quality and technology. The new Series consists of three power variants (6130.4 – 6140.4 – 6150.4), all sharing a contemporary, eyecatching and compact design. Boasting maximum power outputs of 136, 147 and 156 HP respectively, all three variants are offered with a choice of two transmission types: the innovative RVshift with its Full-Powershift concept and the TTV continuously variable transmission. The class-beating technological features of the 6.4 Series make it the perfect choice for any operator who needs a machine capable of tackling a wide variety of tasks, from soil preparation and hay-making, from general farm duty with a front loader or mixer trailer to high speed road transport and from stationary PTO tasks to road maintenance and snowclearing use.
The new 4-cylinder FARMotion 45 engine combines outstanding reliability and efficiency with extremely low operating costs. Contributing to the extraordinary efficiency of the engine is an electronically controlled high pressure Common Rail fuel injection system. Common Rail not only maximises torque and power elivery and allows for a flat torque curve but also optimises fuel combustion, reducing both consumption and noise. The electronically managed VTG variable turbocharger geometry ensures lag-free response to changes in load, while the electronically controlled viscostatic fan reduces power losses and fuel consumption. Much of the maximum power and torque available are on tap across a wide range of engine speeds, for xcellent performance in any application.
The compact dimensions and the optimised power to weight ratio of the new 6.4 Series make these tractors ideal for a wide variety of applications on any farm. With a maximum steering angle of 50°, a short wheelbase and excellent outward visibility, this series of tractors is also ideally suited for tasks with a front loader, and perfectly at ease making headland turns in restricted spaces or working with mixer trailers in the cattle stable.
The new models of the DEUTZ-FAHR 6.4 Series are available with a choice of two different transmission types. The first option is the RVshift transmission, an award winning (EIMA Technical Innovation 2022) state of the art and intuitive Full-Powershift concept, allowing the operator to shift between any of the 20 forward and 16 reverse speeds available with no interruption in power delivery. As standard, the RVSHIFT models are capable of working within a range of speeds from 1.5 km/h (in the first stage) to up to 50 km/h (in the last stage with eco engine revs), but if lower speeds are needed, a supercreeper option is also available which allows for seamless speed control from 20 m/h to 5 km/h. The Powershift ratios can also be managed completely automatically with the APS function; with this option, the electronic control unit selects the most efficient ratio in relation to groundspeed, draft force and engine speed.
The second alternative is the TTV continuously variable transmission, a solution offering state of art technology and functionality. Here the operator can simply select the target speed with the MaxCom joystick and press the throttle pedal to bring the tractor to the desired speed. All transmission variants come as standard with the SenseClutch PowerShuttle with 5 user-selectable responsiveness settings, for performing safe, dependable direction inversion manoeuvres even on steep gradients and when under load. On top of this are the Stop&Go (RVshift models) and PowerZero (TTV models) functions, which make work significantly easier when using the front loader.
Conceived to be compact, powerful and light, these machines have the versatility to take on a huge variety of applications. The Load Sensing hydraulic system is capable of delivering up to 120 l/min and feeding up to 5 rear distributors to make these potent machines perfect for day to day tasks. The rear lift with up to 9,17 tonnes lifting capacity is ready for any implement. Other features maximising the versatility of these tractors including the Auto PTO function and a ground speed PTO with independent output shaft.
